The main difference between 5V addressable LED strips and 12V and 24V addressable LED strips is voltage requirements and operating distance.
5V programmable LED strips are good for short runs with low power requirements, and 12V is suitable for most applications. 24V is ideal for long runs where voltage drop may be an issue.
However, 5V pixel LED strips generally offer greater control and flexibility because they are compatible with small microcontrollers in Arduino projects.
