Kaisan Tunnel is a tunnel for bicycle and pedestrian use in central Helsinki, Finland, The tunnel is 220 meters long, located directly beneath the central station, and connects the city’s east-west bicycle routes.
It reduces the travel distance around the station by as much as 600 meters, bypassing multiple traffic lights and alleviating a significant amount of bicycle traffic, facilitating the movement of thousands of city residents in the area.
To enhance residents’ sense of happiness, the designer decided to extensively use monochrome neon flex LED lighting in the tunnel. In addition to the lighting fixtures directly above the tunnel, many other locations utilize neon LED lighting as supplementary illumination and decoration, which not only makes the light more abundant but also beautifies the tunnel.
Neon LED lighting is distinguished by its linear and dotless illumination, which produces smooth and uniform brightness. This tube removes harsh light spots. Consistent glow that enhances any area.
