Electric Pawn Shop used to be a restaurant, but after being renovated into a bar, it still retains some traces of the restaurant. The design of this bar is inspired by Chinatown in New York in the 1970s, with a dark and dystopian atmosphere.

The designers used vintage chairs and multiple red LED addressable neon flex lights to create a nightlife atmosphere that makes patrons feel like they are dining at night. The space is centered around a central plaza surrounded by “streets” that mimic the layout of a city block.

The sculptural bar in the center of the square, composed of four concrete beams, becomes the focus of the entire space. The hanging structure and mirror design above the bar not only show the mechanical beauty of the building but also add depth and layers to the space through reflection. The ground design cleverly guides visitors to shuttle between different “streets”, and the LED neon signs become clues to explore this space. There are a variety of seating areas in the space, from carriage seats to couple seats, to public dining areas and metal amphitheaters, each of which provides a unique social experience.
